Prime Video Adds ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Jungle Cruise’ Stars to Its Festive Special

In an exclusive revealed by Variety, Prime Video have brought together a host of star-studded names for their brand-new festive series, Jack in Time For Christmas. Produced by Workerbee and British comedian Jack Whitehall‘s Jackpot Productions, the series is set to feature the Jungle Cruise star alongside the likes of Dave Bautista, Rebel Wilson, Jimmy Fallon, Michael Bublé, Daisy May Cooper, and Tom Davies. This hugely exciting line-up will be hitting the streamer during the holidays with a festive series ready to blend scripted comedy with unscripted travelogue.

In a synopsis that reminds one of the classic John Hughes comedy Planes, Trains and Automobiles, the series will see Whitehall stranded in the US with just four days to try and get back to the UK in time for Christmas. With almost every festive mode of transport, from huskies to bobsleighs, utilized on his way, as per the description, “a stockingful of conveniently located famous faces help (and hinder) along the way as Jack navigates the chaos of Christmas and tries to make it home in time.” When announced at an Amazon Upfront event held in London on Wednesday, there was no room for news of a release date, so make sure to stay tuned to Collider to find out if one arrives.

‘Terrifier 3’ Caused Moviegoers To Walk Out & Throw Up at Its UK Premiere

In the last decade, Terrifier has quickly proven itself as one of horror’s goriest franchises. Terrifier 2 pushed that sensitive envelope even further in 2022 with moviegoers physically getting sick or passing out. This caused barf bags and warnings to be issued in theaters. Somehow, Terrifier 3 looks to outdo itself again as Art the Clown gets ready to terrorize the Christmas season. Similar barf bags and warnings have already been seen for the third deadly chapter. Now, as the festive slasher premiered in the UK, moviegoers haven’t learned their lesson with Terrifier 3 as people are walking out, getting sick and throwing up at the UK’s first official screening. Beware of potential spoilers in the comments below.

According to LADbible, there were “nine people walking out in the opening scene alone, with one person so far having been confirmed to have puked”. Damien Leone further detailed his experience at the premiere with Bloody Disgusting, “Although I was in and out of the screening, I did manage to witness some crazy stuff.” The writer-director would further evaporate, “One woman got up and left in the middle of the shower massacre. Another woman left the screening and said she started having a panic attack during a scene involving kids where Art impersonates a mall Santa.” There has been a ton of talk about the first 10 minutes of Terrifier 3 and how it’s more demented than anything seen in the first two Terrifier nightmares.

This is being hyped up as the bloodiest film in the franchise to date, which has been backed up by the festival screenings leading up to Terrifier 3’s wide release. That’s very exciting for the seasoned horror movie, but for the average moviegoer that dabbles in mainstream horror, at the very least, you may want to wait to watch this in the comfort of your own home. Even though Art is as scary as can be, it’s easy to forget that Terrifier remains an unrated indie series. For the horror genre in general, that’s still a very rare sight for theatrical releases. Leone has previously stated that major studios were interested in the new film, but he “knew they weren’t going to let me make this movie based on the first five pages. Like, that’s how insane Terrifier 3 is.”

What’s ‘Terrifier 3’ About?

Another controversial element to Terrifier 3 is its demented Christmas setting. While there have been a handful of iconic holiday slashers in the past, like Black Christmas and Slight Night, Deadly Night, Art’s kills are a different kind of… well terror. This is a franchise that has seen people get cut in half without a second thought. Now children are on Art’s naughty list this time, meaning this isn’t going to a snow-covered walk in the park. Taking place five years after the events of Terrifier 2, Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera) is trying to move on from Art the Clown, starting with having a nice family Christmas with her brother Jonathan (Elliott Fullam). However, Art is back to make this Christmas Eve their last. The trailers and images released thus far have put Art’s new bloody Santa Claus look at the forefront, while teasing some of the brutal kills that’ll have some folks sick to their stomachs. One of which is the previously mentioned shower scene.

When Does ‘Terrifier 3’ Release?

Terrifier 3 releases in theaters on October 11, 2024. We’re just one week away from Art’s jolly revenge. However, if you’re uninitiated to this franchise’s brand of scares, it’s best to watch the previous films first to see if you can make it through without losing your lunch. Terrifier is currently streaming for free on Tubi and Peacock, while Terrifier 2 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Sebastian Stan Says Bucky Is “Way More Suited” to the ‘Thunderbolts’

2025 is shaping up to be a stacked year for Marvel Studios, and the stars of one of the biggest projects on the slate just dropped a major bit of information about his character. While speaking to TotalFilm, Bucky Barnes actor Sebastian Stan talked about where we find Bucky in the villainous and anti-hero team-up film, as well as what he loves about the character. Stan is one of the longest-running MCU actors, as he’s been playing Bucky since the first Captain America movie, The First Avenger, which premiered in 2011. Now, more than 13 years later, he’s set to star in Thunderbolts*, which is due in theaters on May 2, 2025. When asked what Marvel fans can expect to see from Bucky in the 2025 MCU team-up film, Stan had this to say:

“I never would have though we would have ended up where we have with him, but
it’s a very interesting group of characters, and they all bring out different sides of themselves
. I think [Bucky] finds himself way more suited to them than initially maybe he wants to admit, but he’s always an evolving character, and that’s what I love about him. It’s always trying to find another way of expressing.
I think it’ll be fun. I think people will be excited for the movie
.”

Stan is certainly right that fans are excited about the movie, as the first Thunderbolts* trailer that debuted several weeks ago racked up more than 15 million views and almost 500,000 likes on YouTube. Fans have been clamoring for more team-up content in the post-Endgame saga of Marvel stories, where many movies and TV shows feel self-contained and detached from the larger MCU. Next year, Marvel will bring together a new band of misfits, some of whom got their start in TV shows and others who have appeared only in feature films. The classic Guardians of the Galaxy may be gone from the MCU forever, but the Thunderbolts are here to provide all the same dysfunction and entertainment.

Who Stars in ‘Thunderbolts*’?

In addition to Stan reprising his role as Bucky Barnes, Thunderbolts* also stars Florence Pugh in her third performance as Yelena Belova, previously making her debut opposite Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow and also appearing in a smaller capacity at the end of Hawkeye. Stan’s Falcon and The Winter Soldier co-star, Wyatt Russell, will also feature in Thunderbolts* as U.S. Agent/John Walker, and David Harbour will also reprise his role as Red Guardian. Hannah John-Kamen will also return as Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus is back for another outing as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Thunderbolts* will also see Top Gun: Maverick star Lewis Pullman make his MCU debut as Bob, the character many have speculated to be Sentry.

Thunderbolts* will hit theaters on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates on the film, check out the first trailer above, and watch Stan’s recent performance as Bucky in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, now streaming on Disney+.
